Welcome to Cabin Saratoga. This cabin was built in 1915 and was constructed of pine timber logs.  The original cabin served as a bunkhouse for cowboys working on the adjacent ranch.  When the ranch closed down, the structure sat and went to disrepair for several years.  In 2004 the land owner decided to restore the cabin.  He removed the bottom 2 rows of logs and installed a concrete foundation below the remaining timber structure.  Then using beetle kill pine lumber and Tyvek weatherproofing he proceeded to enclose the entire log structure. (if you look real close you can see areas where the original logs are still visible)  Along with this he added modern plumbing and electric for some conveniences of home in a cabin setting.  One modern convenience that was not installed was central heating.  This however, is considered a plus in our eyes as the ambiance  of heating with a wood burning stove helps to bring you back to the original cabin time period. For the light at heart, there are electric space heaters in the bedrooms.
